Mushroom or Red Pepper Torte

  • 2 lbs. mushrooms or 3 red peppers thin sliced
  • 1 bunch green onions chopped
  • ½ cube of unsalted butter
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp dill weed
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 cups shredded jack cheese
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese

Sauté mushrooms (red peppers) and onions in butter

Place ½ on bottom of 9 x 13 dish

Top with cheeses

Place remaining mushroom/red pepper mixture on top

Beat eggs, add biscuit mix, seasonings

Slowly add milk

Pour over top

Bake 30-40 minutes

Can be cut into 12 - 16 servings or make two 9" quiche dishes for 8 servings each.
