Praline Stuffed French Toast

For 8 servings you will need:
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½-1 cup chopped pecans
  • 16 slices of cinnamon swirl bread
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Night before:

Melt butter in 300 oven, stir in brown sugar and syrup. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from oven and sprinkle with pecans.

Meanwhile, spread 8 slices of bread with cream cheese and sprinkle with cinnamon. Place remaining 8 slices of bread on top to make sandwiches and cut in half diagonally to fit the pan (do not overlap) Blend eggs, milk and vanilla, pour over sandwiches.Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Day of serving:

Heat oven to 350°. Bake uncovered about 40 minutes. Cut around edges of pan and pieces of toast. Turn out onto a flat surface. Place on plates.
